Global Sourcing Manager/Transition Director - UK/Europe
Position - TRANSITION MANAGER/DIRECTOR
Location - UK, Europe
Note: Globally mobile for up to 60% - 80% of the time with an Infosys office location in EMEA (e.g., Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, UK, Sweden, Czech Republic, France, etc.)
Position Overview
Responsible for managing all aspects of the startup of large engagements (Transition period), focusing on outsourcing using a global delivery model. Engages with the account team during pursuit to deliver end-to-end transition solutions, taking control and leading due diligence to reduce risk and uncertainty within Infosys’ offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Be the single point of accountability for transition activities.
- Plan, lead, and manage the transition phase of outsourcing engagements, ensuring profitability, customer satisfaction, and effective staff utilization.
- Architect transition solutions, including developing cost estimates, staffing plans, work plans, and RFP responses.
- Conduct workshops to help prospects define requirements and build a business case for outsourcing.
- Provide leadership to cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
- Manage all aspects of transition programs, including planning, resource allocation, tracking, and continuous improvement.
- Lead due diligence plans for new engagements.
- Develop and utilize frameworks, tools, and templates to support transition activities and enhance predictability.
- Ensure service level commitments are met upon transition completion.
- Provide effective handover to the engagement manager before transition ends.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in sales, solution development, and delivery within large Systems Integrators or Consulting firms, responsible for delivering designed and sold solutions.
- Experience supporting customer requirements across application development, infrastructure, BPO, testing, or engineering services in large deals (>50 Mn USD) using a global delivery model.
- Experience managing deal consultant-led engagements (e.g., ISG, Everest, KPMG).
- Ability to develop and maintain positive client relationships and monitor satisfaction.
- Proven success in a matrix management environment.
- Holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or business administration is advantageous but not essential.

- Strong abilities in transition management for complex programs, customer relationship development, and impactful presentation delivery.
- Expertise in managing large, complex transitions from inception to implementation in cross-functional settings.
- Capability to manage both engagements and projects effectively.
- Deep understanding of IT outsourcing sourcing and delivery models.
- Skill in explaining technical information clearly to establish rapport and persuade.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels.
