To continue our growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head of UK/ROW Sales to join our senior management team. This role is critical in leading, expanding, and strengthening Mantic’s trade sales across the UK, wider Europe, and global markets.

Role Overview

The Head of UK/ROW Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of Mantic Games’ trade sales outside of North America. Based in Nottingham, this role requires a commercially astute sales leader with proven experience in international sales and distribution management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth across multiple regions. You will manage relationships with distributors, trade partners, and retail accounts, while leading an internal sales team to achieve ambitious targets.

As a member of Mantic’s senior management team, you will contribute directly to shaping the company’s overall direction, ensuring trade sales play a central role in Mantic’s success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the overall UK/ROW trade sales strategy, aligned with Mantic’s company vision and revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for growth across retail, distribution, and new market channels.
  • Provide market intelligence and insights to guide product development and marketing strategies.
  • Contribute to company discussions as part of the senior management team.
  • Lead all sales activities across the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world (excluding North America).
  • Manage and grow relationships with distributors, key retail accounts, and trade partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure profitable long-term relationships.
  • Drive new business opportunities, including expansion into emerging markets and territories.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Lead and manage the UK/ROW sales team, providing clear direction, targets, and mentoring.
  • Build a high-performing, customer-focused culture within the sales department.
  • Ensure professional development and training opportunities are provided to team members.

Operational Coordination

  • Work closely with operations to align sales commitments with production capacity and logistics.
  • Liaise with finance to monitor margins, manage credit control, and deliver against budgets.
  • Partner with marketing to ensure alignment between promotional campaigns and sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Kickstarter and Direct Sales teams to maximise cross-channel opportunities.

International Growth

  • Build and strengthen Mantic’s global distribution network outside of North America.
  • Identify potential new partners and negotiate agreements in untapped territories.
  • Ensure regional compliance with trade regulations, duties, and export requirements.
  • Represent Mantic at international trade shows, conventions, and distributor meetings.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Track, analyse, and report on sales performance, KPIs, and market trends.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to the senior management team.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategy and optimise sales performance.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record of senior-level sales leadership, ideally in tabletop gaming, hobby, or related industries.
  • Demonstrable experience managing trade sales in the UK and international territories.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience working with distributors, trade accounts, and retail partners.
  • Ability to deliver against revenue targets and growth objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-term partnerships.
  • Strong team leadership skills with proven experience managing and mentoring a sales team.
  • Highly organised with excellent forecasting, budgeting, and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience in tabletop gaming, publishing, or entertainment industries.
  • Established network of contacts within hobby gaming distribution and retail.
  • Knowledge of export logistics, customs, and regional trading requirements.
  • Multilingual capabilities to support international negotiations.
  • Experience representing a brand at trade shows and conventions.
