HR Business Partner – Director (12-Month Maternity Cover)

London | 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day WFH | £700/day | 12-Month Contract (maternity leave)


We’re working with one of the world’s leading asset management firms, renowned for its global reach, innovative culture, and commitment to building strong client partnerships across the UK and internationally.

As part of their continued focus on talent and leadership, they are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (Director level) to join the EMEA HR team. This role will support two key business areas—Global Product & Solutions (GPS) and Equity Private Markets (EPM)—and offers the opportunity to shape and deliver high-impact people strategies in a fast-paced, global environment.

You'll work closely with senior leadership, playing a strategic and hands-on role in driving performance, culture, and talent development across the region.


Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with senior leaders on talent planning, succession, organisational design, and leadership development
  • Driving the culture, inclusion, and employee experience agenda across EMEA
  • Supporting strategic hiring and location strategy in collaboration with recruiting and business leaders
  • Leading performance and reward cycles, promotions, and compensation processes
  • Managing complex change, employee relations matters, and partnering with legal and internal stakeholders
  • Using data and analytics to inform decision-making and present insights back to leadership
  • Collaborating across global HR and business teams in London, New York, and Hong Kong


What We’re Looking For

  • +10 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally within global, matrixed environments
  • Strong track record influencing C-suite or senior business leaders
  • Deep understanding of HR disciplines, including recruiting, compensation, employee relations, and talent management
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Commercial mindset and a keen interest in financial services or asset management
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
