Job Description

Do you have experience working in renewable energy and are looking to continue your career in Health & Safety? Well, I am currently searching for a HSE Director for one of our long standing clients, based in London plus site visits.

The HSE Director will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental strategies across all renewable energy projects globally, including wind, solar and BESS. The HSE Director will partner with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to safeguard people, protect the environment, and enhance performance across diverse geographies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global HSE strategy that supports the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, etc.), local legislation, and industry best practices.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory trends, geopolitical risks, and emerging environmental requirements.
  • Support project delivery teams through HSE planning, execution, and monitoring across all phases (development, construction, operations, and decommissioning).
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive HSE leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a global role.
  • Proven track record in renewable energy, power generation, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of international HSE regulations, standards, and certification schemes.
