About Us

We are 3+ years into becoming an EO Model and are looking for an Independent Trustee Director to join our Trustee Board, bringing strategic experience and an external perspective. 

M.C. Xccessories Ltd is an established Fashion Accessories & Lingerie supplier to the UK Highstreet, working with major retailers supplying own label product.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who can support both with the running & governance of the EO model, as well as building strategic growth & supporting on key business decisions.

About the role

You will be joined on the Trustee Board by a Management Trustee and an Employee Trustee. Your responsibilities will include:

• Building a supportive working dynamic between the Trustees and the Management Team and between the Trustees and the employee-owners; ensuring business decisions are always made in the interests of the staff.
• Build trust and credibility with employee owners. Listening and communicating effectively.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to fellow trustees, enabling them to successfully perform their roles.
• In the first year meet 4 times a year, virtually or in person, reducing to 3 times a year thereafter.

The initial appointment will be for 12 months with a view to extending by mutual agreement.

About You

As this is the start of our EO journey, we're looking for someone who shares our values and has experience helping other organisations navigate the mechanics of EO. 

You’ll also have experience in building robust governance structures. You’ll be a confident communicator, who is able to influence, manage expectations, and handle challenging situations. A willingness to share knowledge and guide others is essential to us to assist staff development and growth. 

Previous demonstrable experience in the following areas is beneficial:

• Dealing with far east/ overseas suppliers/ factories
• An understanding of our business model as a fashion supplier
• Proven experience in Business finance/ accounting
• Multi-currency finance structure.
