Interim Finance Director (6 months initially)
We are working in partnership with a large manufacturing business based in Lancashire, who are looking to recruit an Interim Finance Director to join their regional management team and work closely with the MD in developing business performance and strategic leadership.
You will be fully responsible for producing the Group reporting, statutory compliance and integration of controls and processes, across a multi-site structure. We are therefore looking for someone who can build gravitas, and be the go to person for financial and operational decision making, working alongside a driven and focused MD.
This is a hands-on role and will come with its challenges, as over the next few months we are going through quite a lot of change with a full Group restructure and a new system implementation. However, you will be inheriting a great finance team who are diligent, well established and driven in their approach.
Responsibilities
- Report the company financials on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis working closely with the current MD, developing better transparency and accountability.
- Manage the cashflow forecasting and re-forecasting process, developing controls where necessary and managing timeframes with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining fixed asset register and undertaking periodic inspections across the departments.
- Work closely with the Managing Director always ensuring smooth running of the site on both a financial and operational basis; enhancing productivity, developing a proactive and positive culture and improve the profitability of organisational outputs.
- Supervise the finance team, supporting personal growth and development and continue the positive team culture.
- Produce all the Statutory reporting ensuring full compliance, being the main point of contact with all the internal and external partners.
- Redefine the company production and costing metrics to establish a more accurate insight into the performance of the site and product production.
- Understand and develop transparency of production reporting around billing, materials, and stock balances in line with multiple product lines.
- Experience of private equity would be an advantage.
As the candidate will get exposure to a true 360 role involving finance, operations, sales, and commercial involvement, yet you will also gain corporate reporting responsibilities and Group reporting on an international level.
You will already have strong background in financial reporting experience at the Finance Director level, with all elements of commercial and site performance reporting, and lead from the front as the go person in the business. You will be joining at an integral time as over the next 6 months there are numerous projects that need executing as well as developing deeper controls for audit/compliance purposes for internal and external stakeholders.
