Interim Finance Director – Yeovil
Contract: Interim – September 2025 start – role likely to last for 6 months.Sector: Manufacturing .
Salary: Up to £400 per day.Hybrid: 5 days per week onsite.Hays are working with a large manufacturing organisation based in Yeovil, who are seeking a interim Finance Director to help drive strategic growth and operational excellence in their organisation. This is a site-based role at a cutting-edge facility in Yeovil, ideally suited for professionals based in or around Yeovil.This role will require someone on site for 5 days per week.The Role:As a key member of the site leadership team, you’ll oversee all financial operations, ensuring robust controls, insightful reporting, and strategic alignment. You’ll lead a talented team and collaborate closely with the General Manager to drive performance and support business-critical decisions.Key Responsibilities:Financial Accounting & Management
  • Deliver accurate Management and Statutory Accounts in line with IFRS and internal policies.
  • Ensure financial integrity through strong controls, stock counts, and asset management.
    • Management Accounting
  • Lead forecasting and budgeting processes with a “no surprises” approach.
  • Provide performance insights through dashboards, trend analysis, and business modelling.
    • Business Partnering
  • Collaborate with site leadership to challenge ideas and support strategic initiatives.
    • What We’re Looking ForWe’re keen to hear from candidates with:
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
  • Expertise inmercial finance, group consolidations, and multicurrency environments
  • Manufacturing finance experience
  • Advanced Excel and Hyperion skills
  • Ability to interpret standard costings and variances
