Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the London Ambulance Service as Deputy Director of Business & Performance within our Integrated Urgent Care Directorate. This senior leadership role provides oversight across key areas including digital and IT systems, estates planning, governance, business continuity, communications, new business development, corporate performance, and financial strategy. You will be experienced in working at senior level, producing high-quality data and reports that provide assurance to the Executive and Trust Board.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on business planning, performance and insight, and drive innovation that strengthens the Service within Londons urgent and emergency care system.
  • Ensure high quality interface management with clinical and non-clinical departments, guiding patients to appropriate care by configuring resources and achieving contractual targets, while holding individuals and teams to account for delivering KPIs and objectives.
  • Adhere to agreed clinical standards, protocols and safe practice in the delivery of clinical practice including information governance, prescribing and medico-legal requirements, and compliance in clinical workforce recruitment, management and training.
  • Represent the Director of IUC as required; act as the public face of the LAS and enhance the Services reputation and profile.
  • Make well-informed, timely decisions on behalf of the LAS that affect patient care, the public, staff and the Service in collaboration with a range of stakeholders.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders on performance and service delivery to proactively address patient needs and challenges.
  • Create and deliver operational action plans associated with performance and serve as the single point of contact for external parties for allocated areas of service.
