Managing Director UK

New Today

Overview

Our Vision: Improving the health, wellbeing and lives of all our patients. Our Mission: Our vision will be achieved by us continuing to listen, educate, empower and enable our patients to have choice and control over their health and wellbeing – they are at the heart of everything we do. Our approach is inclusive, innovative and informed by the latest scientific knowledge and research, as well as using our clinical expertise and experience to deliver the best personalised care. We are leading the way in research and education; we ensure women with hormonal changes are supported and informed. Our individualised approach ensures the optimal treatment options are available and our patients are central to all decision-making processes.

Position: We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Managing Director - UK. This pivotal role is focused on delivering operational excellence, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and driving sustainable growth. The Managing Director will bring proven experience from a private clinic environment (rather than large hospital systems) and will feel equally confident shaping strategic initiatives and managing day-to-day operations. As MD, you will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to translate strategy into effective, measurable operations. You will lead and empower our clinical and support teams, motivating them to deliver exceptional services while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and a culture of continuous improvement. Your leadership will be instrumental in:

  • Supporting and inspiring our clinical workforce
  • Streamlining and strengthening internal processes
  • Ensuring support services are safe, effective, and patient-focused
  • Driving innovation and sustainable growth across the organisation

This is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact on a growing organisation. If you bring a deep understanding of private clinics, a collaborative approach, and a values-based leadership style, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth, efficient, and patient-focused service delivery.
  • Take overall accountability for operational performance across all areas of the clinic.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, CQC standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Work closely with the CEO/Board to shape and deliver operational strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in clinic processes, patient experience, and service delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop non-clinical teams, ensuring effective collaboration with clinical staff.
  • Oversee facilities, suppliers, IT systems, and administrative processes.
  • Support the development and rollout of new services and initiatives to enhance the clinic’s offering.
  • Act as a key representative of the clinic with external stakeholders, partners, and insurers.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Proven track record of operational leadership in a private clinic, outpatient centre, or group practice.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
  • Thorough knowledge of CQC and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Financially savvy with experience managing budgets and driving operational performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and build strong relationships.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to balance patient experience and business sustainability.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable in a growing, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Background

  • Prior experience in a private medical clinic.
  • Familiarity with private patient billing systems, insurance processes, and patient administration.
