McBride Sport are pleased to be supporting the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) in the search for and appointment of an outstanding individual for the newly created role of Managing Director. This is a pivotal and exciting appointment for the Club as they look to the future with renewed ambition, energy, and purpose.


The BRDC holds a unique place at the heart of British and global motorsport. They are immensely proud of our heritage — from our founding in 1928 by Dr. J.D. Benjafield, to their stewardship of Silverstone Circuit and their long-standing contribution to nurturing British driving talent across generations. The BRDC exist to promote the interests and achievements of British and Commonwealth racing drivers, and serve as guardians of the values, history, and future of the sport.


This new role of Managing Director has been created to lead the day-to-day management of the Club and to work with the Chairman and wider Board to both deliver their strategic plan and provide additional executive capacity to the Board in the delivery of its responsibilities. As the BRDC’s organisation its responsibilities and reach continue to expand and grow in both size and complexity, they are seeking a highly capable, commercially astute, and values-driven leader to continue to modernise and professionalise their operations, enhance member engagement, strengthen external relationships, and ensure the Club continues to thrive in an evolving motorsport and business landscape.


The successful candidate will need to bring emotional intelligence, outstanding leadership, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse and passionate membership and stakeholder group. Ideally with an interest in or passion for motorsport, you will ideally understand the dynamics of a member-led organisation and possess a strong track record of executive delivery and leadership at a senior level, ideally within motor sport, or sport.
