About the role: The National Account Director is responsible for developing new business prospects and managing the full sales cycle from initial lead generation, through evaluation, negotiation, and closing. This is a full-time, remote position and may require travel up to 30%–40% as needed by seasonal business. The position is bound with an EMEA location, based in the UK.
What You’ll Do
- Manage full sales cycle from initial lead generation, opportunity development, to negotiation and closure.
- Meet with potential sales clients to determine business needs.
- Stay current on industry trends, especially in food & beverage manufacturing, industrial, hi-tech, automotive and CPG sectors.
- Research and recommend prospects for new business opportunities, develop those opportunities, and expand customer relationships.
- Generate new business sales within the manufacturing sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospects and clients.
- Develop professional networks within the business sector.
- Stay current with industry trends and competitors.
- Identify improvements and recommend sales strategies to increase sales.
- Collect, analyze information and prepare data and sales reports.
- Attend training workshops, meetings, trade shows and events to increase professional learning and development.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Sales, Operations or Business Management and/or equivalent professional experience in manufacturing sector.
- 7–8 years of outside sales experience in the industrial or automation manufacturing industry, with a track record of nurturing and selling to net new customers and meeting/exceeding quota targets in complex sales cycles.
- Experience in business-to-business sales.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge of QAD Redzone’s products/services and a passion for selling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to negotiate successfully and possess marketing skills.
- Focus on both results and clients’ needs; ability to meet with prospects and clients, fostering trust and engaging to identify business needs.
- Ability to engage confidently with C-level executives and other decision makers.
- Self-motivated with sound judgment and excellent assessment skills; fast learner, quick thinker; able to prepare presentations and communicate ideas clearly, confidently and persuasively.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and applicable CRM.
- Ability to work, adapt and grow in a high-paced, competitive, rapid-growth environment.
- Open to travel to the client side up to 30%–40% of the time.
