We’re seeking a dynamic and independent Non-Executive Director to Chair our Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee and help steer this transformation.

Position: Non-Executive Director – Chair of Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee
Location: Manchester
Remuneration: £28,000 per annum
Time Commitment: 25–30 days/year

What You’ll Do

• Leading the Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee with integrity and independence
• Overseeing financial stewardship, risk management, and assurance frameworks
• Supporting the Executive Board in delivering the Mayor’s transport strategy
• Championing public sector values and ethical governance
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

What You’ll Bring

• Senior leadership experience in finance, audit, or risk—ideally within the public or regulated sectors
• A track record of chairing boards or committees with strategic impact
• Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills
• A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and public service values
