Join Beyond the Page as a Non-Executive Director

Beyond the Page (BtP) is a small but dynamic organisation working to build confident, connected communities through inclusive language learning. Our flagship programme, United Mothers, provides free, women-only ESOL sessions in local community settings across Thanet. These sessions are shaped around confidence, connection, and community, supporting women who have migrated to Thanet in their personal journeys and participation in public life.

Role and responsibilities

We are seeking two Non-Executive Directors to join our board and help guide our next stage of growth as we register as a charity. Our NEDs contribute to strategy, governance, and organisational development, supporting the executive team with advice, oversight, and fresh perspectives.

Who we are looking to welcome

We particularly welcome applications from women of colour and those with lived experience of migration, to better reflect the communities we support.

No prior Board or trustee experience is required; we provide induction, training, and mentoring.
