Operations Director – Ground Handling (OD1) Swissport – Join us to lead ground handling operations across multiple UK airports. Location: Expected to travel to Dublin regularly; based at Dublin, Birmingham, Stansted, London, or Southampton. Salary: Competitive remuneration package. As a senior leader in Swissport UK&I, you will deliver operational excellence, safe practices, and cost‑effective profitability across a multi‑site business. Responsibilities

Lead a station management team, setting and delivering KPIs that drive performance and customer service. Own full P&L responsibility for the sub‑region and ensure EBIT targets are met through continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Advance QHSE initiatives, achieving best‑in‑class health & safety, quality and on‑time performance standards. Develop and coach managers to progress from operational staff to business leaders, maintaining high employee engagement and talent development. Foster strong commercial relationships with airlines, airport authorities and governmental bodies to grow and retain business. Drive strategic change to enhance service delivery, reduce cost base and strengthen the organization’s market position. Collaborate with the COO, HR, Finance, QHSE and other functions to define and execute regional goals.

Qualifications

University degree (advanced degree or relevant professional certification preferred). Minimum 5–7 years of senior P&L responsibility, preferably within aviation or a service‑centric environment. Strong decision‑making, commercial acumen and an ability to motivate teams under tight pressure. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Resilience, adaptability and a proven ability to drive change in a dynamic context. Experience in managing safety, quality and financial performance across multiple sites.
