We have a bold vision for operational excellence with a keen commitment to compliance, and innovation, we are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Director to lead our operations during this exciting phase of growth with the skills to implement A1 Frame automation to streamline logistics , scale with precision and set a whole new standard in pharmaceutical wholesale.

Role overview :

As the Operations Director, you will take charge of the complete development and execution of our automated distribution framework, overseeing everything from initial setup to performance optimisation. You will be instrumental in designing systems, processes, and supply chain strategies to ensure swift, dependable, and compliant deliveries across our growing network.

This is a high-impact leadership position perfect for a logistics expert with a passion for scaling operations efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automation for A1 Frame processes.
  • Build , lead and develop the operations team across warehousing, logistics, procurement, and distribution
  • Oversee the entire supply chain, ensuring the timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of pharmaceutical products to over 180 pharmacies.
  • Ensure full compliance with GDP (Good Distribution Practice), MHRA, and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts to optimise processes, systems, and performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align operational strategies with overarching business goals.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, KPIs, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with quality assurance teams to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Support business expansion initiatives, including warehouse enhancements, system upgrades, and international distribution efforts.
  • Develop and execute strategic procurement plans to secure competitive pricing, reliable suppliers, and timely deliveries.
  • Develop and manage budgets for procurement, distribution, and operational costs, ensuring cost efficiency and resource optimisation.

Ideal candidate :

  • Extensive background in pharmaceutical, medical, FMCG wholesale, and logistics operations.
  • Proven experience implementing warehouse automation systems (A1 frame of equivalent.
  • Strong leadership experience in scaling operations, ideally in B2B distribution settings
  • Extensive understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, quality standards, and compliance procedures
  • Strong focus on data with a history of boosting performance through automation and process improvements.
  • Exceptional organisational, management, strategic, and communication expertise.
