It hosts resident companies and is led by a small team with big ambitions.OverviewThe Operations Director is a senior manager who will support the Director in the day-to-day running of the Trust’s estate in Woolwich. The Senior Management Team (SMT) is responsible for the day-to-day operations and delivering the strategic priorities set with the Board. The Operations Director will lead site operations and the delivery of events, overseeing venue management, visitor services, production, technical and event management, HR, IT, security, and health and safety. This is a hands-on, people-focused role requiring on-site leadership and active policy setting and SOP development. The role may involve Duty Managing events that are complex or significant.This role predominantly involves on-site work to direct the operations of our buildings and venue services.ResponsibilitiesLead operations across the site, including venue management, visitor services, production, technical and event management.Be responsible for HR, IT, security, and health and safety.Set policies and standard operating procedures and lead by example.Duty manage events that are complex or of particular scale or significance.Collaborate with SMT to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and achievement of strategic priorities.Is this job for you?We are looking for an experienced venue operations professional with experience in large arts and entertainment venues and major events. You should be an outstanding people manager with strong attention to detail and a proactive leadership presence. You should be passionate about delivering excellent customer service, managing safety and compliance, and running a successful business.
