Overview:

A dynamic and rapidly expanding law firm is seeking an accomplished Private Client Partner or Director to lead and grow its Private Client offering in the West Midlands. This opportunity sits within one of the largest and most respected Private Client teams in the UK, offering the chance to step into a strategic leadership role with a strong national platform.

The firm's Birmingham office has seen significant growth in recent years and continues to be a core hub of innovation, collaboration, and client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing strategic leadership and direction to the Private Client practice in Birmingham.
  • Delivering high-level advisory services across a broad range of private client matters, including:
    • Wills and estate planning
    • Trusts and succession planning
    • Probate and estate administration
    • Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
  • Building long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families in business, and landed estates - both domestic and international.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues in property, corporate, and family law to provide integrated legal solutions.
  • Mentoring and supporting the development of junior Lawyers and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Taking an active role in business development initiatives and raising the team's profile across the region.

This Private Client team is nearly 120-strong nationally, with a full-service offering that is highly ranked in both Chambers and Legal 500. The team is known for its cross-office collaboration and its commitment to providing strategic, tailored advice to complex and high-value clients.

Key areas of specialism include:

  • Private wealth and estate management
  • Agricultural and landed estates
  • Contentious trusts and probate
  • Domestic and international tax and succession planning
  • Trusts, deputyship, and administration of estates

Clients include UHNW individuals, business families, and major estate owners across the UK.
