About The Role
Portfolio Director – Gateways
Days of Working: Monday to Friday
Location: National (with regular travel across sites within London)
Reporting to: Strategic Partnership Director
The Portfolio Director will lead the operational delivery of facilities management services across a portfolio of some of the UK’s most iconic gateway sites, including London Eye, London Dungeon, London Sealife, Shrek Adventure, Cadburys World and Madame Tussauds This is a senior role responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality service across security, cleaning and other ancillary services, through effective leadership of site-based FM teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the delivery of all FM services across the Gateway portfolio.
- Operational Leadership: Lead and support a team of Head of FM / Contract Managers at each location.
- Operational Leadership: Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, health & safety standards, and service level agreements.
- Performance & Quality Assurance: Monitor and drive operational performance across all sites using KPIs and service audits.
- Performance & Quality Assurance: Implement consistent standards and processes across the portfolio to ensure service excellence.
- Performance & Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve operational risks and issues proactively.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with client stakeholders at each resort location.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the senior operational point of contact for escalations and strategic discussions.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with the Strategic Partnership Director to align operational delivery with broader account goals.
- Team Development & Culture: Foster a high-performance culture across site teams.
- Team Development & Culture: Support the development and succession planning of FM leaders within the portfolio.
- Team Development & Culture: Champion diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Work with internal Centres of Excellence to embed innovation and best practice.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, sustainability, and guest experience.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Ensure operational readiness for seasonal peaks and special events.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in multi-site FM or operations leadership roles
- Strong understanding of soft FM services, including compliance and risk management.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and drive performance.
- Experience in leisure, hospitality, or public-facing/ high footfall environments is highly desirable.
- Enhanced DBS will be required for the successful candidate.
