Portfolio Manager (Real Estate Non Performing Loans), Associate Director, London
Salary: c£90,000 - c£100,000 (Bonus, Pension, Life Insurance, Income protection, Healthcare).
To oversee and optimise the performance of the loan portfolio across the business, assessing the health of the portfolio and ensuring adherence with internal and regulatory standards.
Analyse the risks of the portfolio ensuring they align with the company's risk appetite, investment strategy, and performance targets.
Implement strategies to mitigate potential risks associated with borrower defaults.
This position requires a seasoned risk professional with extensive experience in real estate financing, particularly within the private equity sector. Show strong commercial acumen and operational discipline in implementing and monitoring the function, with the focus of optimizing performance while managing risks and ensuring compliance within the lending business.
Responsibilities:
Direct the loan portfolios, ensuring they align with the company's risk appetite, investment strategy, and performance targets.
Monitor and evaluate the risk profile of the portfolio, implementing measures to mitigate potential risks associated with borrower defaults.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modelling to assess the performance of loans and identify underperforming assets.
Prepare detailed reports on portfolio performance, including metrics related to interest income, delinquencies, defaults, and recoveries, for presentation to senior management.
Collaborate with senior management to develop strategies for portfolio growth, including potential new products or changes in lending criteria.
Maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication regarding portfolio performance and strategies.
Mentor and support junior analysts or associates, providing guidance and training on portfolio management best practices.
Participate in the credit review process, assessing new lending opportunities and recommending credit decisions based on risk evaluation.
Collaboration: Work closely with underwriting, collections, and compliance teams to ensure a cohesive approach to managing the portfolio.
Utilize portfolio management software and tools to analyse data and improve decision-making processes.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that could affect the portfolio's performance and risk exposure.
Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes related to portfolio management, aiming to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Advocate for and help develop policies and procedures related to managing loans.
Maintain communication with stakeholders, including clients and senior management, regarding status updates and portfolio performance.Essential Skills
