Practice Director - HR & Talent Advisory, LHH

The HR & Talent Advisory Practice at LHH is a newly launched strategic consulting arm focused upon Leadership, Culture, Organizational Design, and Change Management. It serves as a strategic differentiator for LHH, elevating the brand and deepening client relationships through high-touch, bespoke advisory services. The Practice Lead will be responsible for designing, developing, and leading LHH's global offering across one of the areas of: Culture and Organizational Change; Leadership, Teams & Succession; Organizational Design. They will be the ultimate authority on their respective practice and spearhead commercial success in the industry.

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to VP, Head of Services, Knowledge & Innovation, Practice Strategy & Development
  • Define the practice vision, positioning, and service offerings including all relevant components (tools, technologies and content).
  • Strategize and create consultant methodologies, frameworks, and IP (thought leadership, white papers, diagnostics) that will be leveraged during both sale and delivery of day-rate consulting engagements.
  • Scan the market for emerging trends and client needs to refresh the practice's portfolio.
  • Ensure appropriate pricing models and commercial structures.
  • Manage practice results including revenue targets, gross margin, and profitability.

Commercial Growth & Client Development

  • Work with key senior commercial colleagues in both Advisory (e.g. Regional Directors) and across the business (Global Sales Leaders and Country Presidents) to align practice strategy to LHH market and internal/external customer needs by geography.
  • Partner with critical functions such as Sales Enablement, Marketing and Opportunity Management to ensure the practice has a clear external narrative, compelling sales material and a customer win-strategy.
  • Ensure service propositions are both feasible and profitable at the point of sale.

Client Engagement & Advisory

  • Act as the flagship expert in this area and be called upon as a senior advisor to diagnose challenges and co‑creating tailored solutions.
  • Act as executive sponsor where required for marquee accounts and opportunities.
  • Drive sales through business development, proposal leadership, and client relationship building as required.
  • Own and achieve a dedicated new business sales target.
  • Expand existing client relationships and contribute to new business acquisition.
  • Act as a project sponsor and escalation point for delivery issues.

Thought Leadership & Brand Positioning

  • Represent LHH in external forums, conferences, and media publications as a thought leader in their given specialism.
  • Publish thought leadership and demonstrate subject‑matter authority.
  • Work closely with the Research Director to author the development of content, insights, and research that elevate LHH's market presence.
  • Partner closely with other Practice Directors and experts within the function, as well as Innovation/Product lead across LHH to ensure work is not done in isolation.
  • Differentiate the practice from competitors.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the practice, reaching high agility, adaptability, and the ability to anticipate future client and candidate needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the related area of human capital consulting related to leadership & succession, culture and change management, and organizational design.
  • Excellent thought leadership and industry knowledge: able to articulate the latest trends in the market, identify outdated approaches, and create new service offerings that will capture the attention of LHH's clients and secure high win‑rates at RFP.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering strategic solutions for enterprise and global clients.
  • In‑house HR experience would be advantageous.
  • Technologically savvy with knowledge/awareness of opportunities to disrupt and improve legacy methodologies, e.g. AI.

Education

Master's degree in Organizational Psychology, Business, HR, or related field preferred.
