Overview

Our client is a Top 20 accountancy firm seeking a new hire to help develop their private client offering in the Manchester office and across the North of England. The role will involve managing and developing a team of more junior staff and contributing to the growth of a larger practice. The client base is weighted towards advice for owner managers and entrepreneurs, and the role suits someone with experience advising owners of businesses and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of a team of junior staff and management of clients and key relationships.
  • Take a leadership role with other partners and directors to run the local office and contribute as part of a National Private Client Service line.
  • Proven experience in business development and the ability to win new clients and business.
  • Combine strong technical tax skills with analytical and report-writing abilities to deliver clear advice for clients.
  • Proven experience of personal taxes including IHT and CGT planning, and ideally experience relating to interaction with business taxes for entrepreneurs.
  • Advise business owners on residence and domicile and cross-border tax issues.

Qualifications

  • UK qualified tax specialist (likely CTA or ACA).
  • Experience in private client tax with a focus on owner-managed businesses and families.
