We are seeking an experienced Audit Director to join our Privately Owned Business team in Bristol. This role is presented through ACCA Careers and offered by Forvis Mazars.

About The Team

Due to strong growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit an Audit Director to support local and national partners in building our audit team, enhancing client offering, and contributing to our sustainable growth strategy. You will work closely with clients and be committed to providing an exceptional audit service.

About The Role

  • Lead the client service management team in formulating audit strategy and planning.
  • Provide technical expertise, advice, and leadership to the audit team and clients.
  • Maintain control and stability under pressure while recognizing deadlines or urgency.
  • Present audit opinion summaries and other reporting documents, including group reporting and audit committee papers.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities and prospects for new work.

What are we looking for?

  • Significant experience leading external audits, managing a portfolio of clients and audit teams.
  • ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified.
  • Experience controlling a diverse portfolio across sectors.
  • Experience at Director level, looking to step up to Partner.
  • Client relationship management experience.
  • Up‑to‑date technical knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS 102 and IFRS.
  • Previous success in winning new business.
