Job Description
We are seeking a Procurement Project Director to enable our mission of ensuring Global Supply Base Operational Excellence while complying with LEGO requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a PPL team across EMS Suppliers and Projects, supporting project implementation to meet deliverables.
- Support & Implement the Product Planning Process.
- Support and execute strategic initiatives within the EMS category.
- Support the development and industrialization phases of complex projects, including JDMs and Value Engineering.
- Manage supplier relationships, stakeholder engagement, project planning, budgeting, negotiations, and process improvements.
- Manage a team of PPLs, allocating resources, and ensuring project targets are met.
- Lead as Technical Project Manager on certain projects to meet strategic goals.
- Potentially serve as a Supplier Key Account Manager, managing commercial relationships and negotiations.
- Participate in Cost Savings activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support LEGO’s sustainability goals.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience including people management, procurement in EMS environments, project management of complex NPI projects, and operations procurement activities.
- Experience in EMS supplier management, negotiations, and manufacturing environments.
Skills
- Strong negotiation, communication, and influencing skills.
- Strategic mindset with business acumen.
- Ability to lead global, multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
- Familiarity with NPI procurement activities.
Desired
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle).
- Experience working across countries and cultures.
- Proficiency in English.
