Role Overview – Programme / Project Director
The Programme / Project Director will be permanently located in Jakarta, Indonesia or will work on longer rotation periods in-country. The role involves managing execution of significant complex projects that include infrastructure building such as data centres, control rooms, communication towers, and commercial buildings, as well as installation of complex electrical systems and sensitive communication equipment.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with end customers and ICP to manage and drive the project delivery plan, ensuring quality of delivery within cost and time parameters.
- Ensure ICP works in strict accordance with SRT systems delivery methods, providing training and ongoing guidance to support successful installation and commissioning.
- Maintain holistic project implementation approach so finished system installation meets contracted specifications and finishes details are not missed.
- Continuously maintain and manage accurate project plan and budget in coordination with the Delivery Department.
- Visit customer sites to review and manage activities, progress and align understanding of project status.
- Manage and oversee construction, installation and configuration work performed by ICP and third parties.
- Arrange training for customers and ICP, liaising with Delivery Team to ensure delivery of training per contract.
- Provide clear, concise updates to SRT management on status, progress and potential risks and issues.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience as a Programme / Project Director for multi-site IT systems – ideally communication-based infrastructure.
- Significant experience and success in civil engineering and construction projects.
- Proven track record delivering facilities installation and fit-out projects internationally.
- Experience delivering projects located in Asia or the Middle East region.
- Engineering and/or IT networking background and qualification.
- Ability to interpret systems drawings down to installation design drawings (racks, servers, cameras, radar, civil work).
- Strong diplomatic influence without authority and empathy for different cultures.
- Willingness to travel worldwide for extended periods; primarily based in country with short trips to the UK during execution.
- Hands‑on ability to assist with day‑to‑day management and organisation of installation and troubleshooting.
