Overview

Lead the commercial function across the Road North LTC Enterprise for the Lower Thames Crossing (LTC), driving sustainable growth and ensuring commercial excellence. Base from our Project offices in Thurrock.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the commercial function, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement, including LEAN and digital innovation.
• Manage all commercial activities, including cost, value, margin, risk, cashflow, and major contract and subcontractor accounts.
• Lead commercial negotiations with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, and provide expert support for contract and board reviews.
• Support bid preparation and enable innovation across contracts to secure competitive advantage.
• Manage commercial resources, including recruitment, deployment, and professional development.
• Champion the four pillars: Construction, Culture, Carbon, Community.
• Deputise for the Project Director when required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing commercial performance in complex, major project environments.
• Strong strategic, financial, business acumen with the ability to influence and communicate effectively.
• Expertise in negotiating complex contracts and identifying opportunities while mitigating risks.
• Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field, supported by professional membership (RICS, ICES, CIOB) and appropriate industry certification (CSCS card or equivalent).
