Piper Maddox are working alongside a renewable energy company who have been a strong presence in the industry for over 20 years. Our client cover the full project lifecycle, taking their projects from inception, through the development stages, into delivery, and then managing the full construction and operation of their assets.
They have an excellent track record of delivering on their development pipeline and have a demonstrable track record in successfully constructing their utility scale renewable energy projects. At this moment in time, they have an active development pipeline totaling over 1.5GW and four of these schemes are in the latter stages of development which are set to move into delivery in the near future.
These projects are part of a diverse technology portfolio, including Solar, Battery Storage, and Onshore Wind.
When putting all this together, you are left with a very stable name in the space, who have some exciting but also solid plans for their team going forward. They have strong international funding, a very experienced team, and the aforementioned pipeline, meaning you can rest assured you will see your projects come to fruition.
They are currently looking to add a Senior Leader in the sector to their team who will be responsible for taking projects over from the late stages of development, taking the project on into delivery, and liaising with their in-house construction function to move the project through key milestones on it's way to construction and operation.
This role will take the form of a Project Delivery Director and the ideal candidate here would have over 5 years of direct experience in the below matters.
In this role, you would be responsible for:
> The discharge of planning conditions following planning consent, ensuring that these conditions are adhered to in the delivering stages of the project.
> Other key late stage development work including ground investigations, archaeological surveys, and the management of key external and internal stakeholders for these matters.
> Ensuring that crucial obligations within the final option to lease agreement with the landowners in question are maintained and carried out.
> Working alongside the construction department on the procurement of key EPC services required in the delivery of these utility scale projects.
This role would be suitable for someone who is looking to take a leading role in an exciting project portfolio where a number of schemes are at crucial points of their project lifecycle. You would have a high level of influence over project strategy, as well as taking on management and mentoring responsibilities over more junior members of the team.
You would be joining up with a dynamic and collaborative team with a culture focus around all working together to achieve a common goal.
