The role can sit across any of our offices within the region, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester or Warrington, with the opportunity to work on significant Strategic Resource Option (SRO) Projects and exciting water frameworks such as United Utilities Design Development Partnership, Yorkshire Water’s Storm Overflow Alliance and Northumbrian Water’s Strategic Technical Partnership.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for delivery of SRO projects and large water frameworks, guiding Project Managers and teams to deliver large-scale projects and programmes in the design & construction environment.
• Operate as a strategic and hands-on leader, reporting to the Regional Director and maintaining a matrix reporting line to the Major Projects Discipline & Market Area Director.
• Lead capability and capacity building in D&C, shaping the Major Projects portfolio and contributing to business risk management.
• Shape Stantec's future by developing people, working with Regional Leadership teams to implement commercial and risk management strategies across projects and programmes, and championing best practice, new services, and a world-class project delivery offering.

About You

This role is for a project leader with a track record in delivering successful Major Projects within a multidisciplinary environment (preferably in the water sector). You will possess an in-depth understanding of design for construction and the commercial acumen to ensure successful financial outcomes.

As primary contact for our clients, you will also have the ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships, while demonstrating exemplary HSSE management & wellbeing behaviour. You will ideally hold Chartership status with a relevant institution.
