Overview

Direct the projects everyone else just talks about. Project Director – High-End Residential in Hampshire, Surrey, and Wiltshire. Permanent position with experience-led, family-run contractors who specialise in high-end residential builds.

We’re looking for a Project Director who can lead projects in the £4m–£20m bracket with calm authority that reassures clients and motivates contractors to excel.

Responsibilities

  • Directing and coordinating all project activity, ensuring strategy is implemented in practice, not just discussed in PowerPoint.
  • Using Project Commander software to manage programming, reporting, and delay analysis.
  • Leading pre-construction and post-completion phases with a sharp eye for detail and defects.
  • Managing people — clients, teams, and stakeholders — without losing your cool or sense of humour.
  • Navigating JCT contracts, notifications, and disputes with experienced ease.
  • Ensuring SHE standards are followed rigorously.

Ideal candidate: responsible, personable, organized. A strategist who can still roll up their sleeves.

Qualifications

  • Experience running projects as No.1 on site in the £2m–£20m range.
  • High-end residential / prime refurb pedigree.
  • A CV that shows loyalty and progression, not just a list of company logos.
  • Titles you may have gone by: Project Director, Project Lead, Construction Director, Senior Contracts Manager.
