Our Head Office in Dartford serves as the central hub for our operations, supporting our dedicated teams and extensive project portfolio.The OpportunityArtic Building Services is seeking an experienced and dynamic Projects Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for our portfolio of building services projects. Based at our Head Office in Dartford, with occasional site visits, you will be instrumental in driving project success from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.This is a pivotal role for a proven leader with significant experience in the M&E and Building Services sector, looking to make a substantial impact on our project delivery capabilities and contribute to the continued growth and success of Artic.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement project management strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability across all projects. Actively contribute to business growth and strategic planning.Oversee the entire project lifecycle for multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring robust planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Drive operational excellence, identify and mitigate project risks, and ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.Accountable for project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and ensuring projects achieve commercial targets and profitability. Monitor project performance against key financial metrics.Demonstrate a proven history of winning and delivering project works of performance values from £250,000.00 to £3.4 Million with end user and main contractor parties.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Project Managers and supporting staff. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Ensure client expectations are not only met but exceeded, fostering repeat business and positive referrals.Champion a proactive Health & Safety culture, ensuring all projects adhere to the highest safety standards. Ensure quality control processes are rigorously applied and that all work complies with contractual requirements and industry legislation.Optimise the allocation of internal and external resources to ensure efficient project delivery.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Extensive proven experience (minimum 10+ years) in a senior project management or director-level role within the M&E / Building Services sector.Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering complex, high-value building services projects.Strong commercial acumen and experience with contract negotiation, financial management, and P&L responsibility.In-depth knowledge of M&E systems, building regulations, health & safety legislation, and industry best practices.Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large project teams.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.Full UK Driving Licence is essential due to occasional site visits.Skills & AttributesStrategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.Results-orientated with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.Resilient and adaptable to evolving project demands and challenges.Impeccable organisational and time management skills.High level of integrity and professionalism.Artic Building Services is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age. #J-18808-Ljbffr
