Regional Director of Sales, Europe & North Africa - Fairmont & Raffles Hotels & Resorts

Regional Director, Sales for the Europe & North Africa (ENA) region will lead Sales efforts across all segments for Fairmont and Raffles properties in ENA. The role reports to the Vice President of Sales – Fairmont & Raffles AEMEA and is responsible for creating and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and enhance brand presence. This position requires strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and a proven track record in sales management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue at all properties in the Fairmont / Raffles portfolio in ENA, managing a diverse mix of owners, markets, and lifecycle stages (new properties ramping up, established properties, refurbishments).
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with Fairmont & Raffles goals; analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify opportunities.
  • Set ambitious sales targets, establish performance metrics, and monitor progress toward revenue goals.
  • Provide strong leadership to hotel sales teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, develop, and motivate high-performing sales professionals; ensure optimal staffing and ongoing sales skills development.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, industry influencers, and partners to generate new business leads and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead negotiations for major opportunities, collaborating with legal and finance to secure favorable terms.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and customer preferences to identify development opportunities.
  • Oversee sales operations: develop and implement effective sales processes, tools, and systems; monitor segment performance and generate executive summaries for senior management.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Revenue Management to align sales with promotions, pricing, and revenue optimization initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, operations leadership, finance, and revenue management to ensure alignment with broader goals.
  • Contribute to campaigns, pricing strategies, and product/service enhancements to drive revenue growth.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or related field
  • 4+ years experience as a DOSM on a single property or cluster of hotels; luxury brand experience preferred
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership within the hotel industry, with focus on revenue growth and market expansion
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies, drive results, and exceed targets
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and inspire a sales team
  • Excellent interpersonal and influential skills; ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Sound business acumen and strategic thinking; ability to analyze market trends and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in sales management software, CRM systems, and distribution technology
