Job Description
Join us as a Relationship Director in Corporate Banking.
- We’re looking for a driven communicator to develop relationships across the bank, ensuring a cooperative approach to lead generation.
- You’ll be building relationships with and managing our clients, in line with our customer strategy and marketing plans, with customers based in Aberdeen and North Scotland.
- This is an opportunity to make this role your own, providing excellent exposure for you and your work.
- Your time will be split between client meetings at their premises, collaborating with colleagues in our Aberdeen office (minimum two days a week or as required), with the remainder working remotely.
What you'll do
As a Relationship Director, you’ll provide financial services to corporate customers by engaging them with respect, professionalism, and credibility. To succeed, you’ll develop a robust network of external contacts across the wider business community. You’ll also use your leadership and motivational skills to manage a sub-team, contributing to the performance and sustainable profitability of your function.
You’ll also be:
- Developing an origination strategy for creating new customers within your sector.
- Working with and supporting your team to ensure credit stewardship responsibilities are fulfilled and high-quality lending is maintained.
- Building, maintaining, and managing relationships at all levels across the bank.
- Ensuring all credit and operational risk policies are understood and adhered to.
The skills you'll need
We expect you to have proven experience in a financial role, with a clear understanding of credit markets and lending best practices. You’ll have the ability to analyze and interpret complex corporate situations, anticipate future business trends, and evaluate strategic options. Additionally, you should have a background in providing innovative and creative solutions to complex problems.
You’ll also need:
- A strong understanding of relevant businesses and underlying products.
- The ability to communicate effectively with impact to senior levels within the business, other professionals, and customers.
- A strong customer focus and excellent relationship management skills.
- A proven ability to formulate and deliver a business strategy.
