Job Description – Assistant Vice President Relationship Manager (Private Wealth / Multi-Family Office)Location: London, United Kingdom (4 days in the office, WFH Wednesday)Level: Mid-Senior (VP/SVP equivalent)Salary: £90,000 – £110,000 + performance-based bonuses, equity/share scheme, and corporate bond incentive structureEmployment: Permanent, Full-timeAbout the FirmOur client is a well-established multi-family office specialising in private wealth management and investment advisory. They provide bespoke investment strategies across a range of regulated products and services, supporting high-net-worth individuals and families in achieving long-term financial success.With a culture that values creativity, service excellence, and long-term relationships, the firm combines deep market knowledge with a personalised approach to wealth management. They are now seeking an experienced Relationship Manager (at VP or Assistant VP level) to join their team in London and help grow their client base across Africa (Kenya) and/or the Middle East (Dubai).Key ResponsibilitiesClient Acquisition & ManagementManage an existing portfolio of clients with assets under management (AUM) of c.$25m.Develop new client relationships across target jurisdictions (Africa, Middle East), leveraging personal networks and market expertise.Provide tailored investment advice aligned with each client’s risk appetite and financial objectives.Governance & Service DeliveryEnsure compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal processes, safeguarding both the firm and its clients.Deliver an excellent client experience, building trust and fostering long-term relationships.Act as a point of contact for clients, providing market insights, portfolio updates, and rebalancing advice.Business Development & Strategic GrowthIdentify and convert new business opportunities, driving AUM growth and revenue generation.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align client needs with the firm’s investment strategy.Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and seminars, maintaining up-to-date CPD requirements.Operational ContributionContribute to firm-wide strategic initiatives led by senior management and the Board.Work closely with global colleagues across different time zones to ensure seamless service delivery.Preferred Skills & Experience5+ years’ experience as a Relationship Manager within wealth management, private banking, or a multi-family office environment.Proven track record of acquiring, managing, and growing HNWI/UHNWI client relationships.Strong understanding of regulated financial products and investment structures.Existing book of clients (or ability to demonstrate access to relevant networks) with clear AUM track record.Relevant professional qualifications – minimum CISI Level 4 (CFA, CISI, or equivalent) with FCA registration for client dealing.Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills, with fluency in English. Additional language skills relevant to target markets (Arabic, Swahili, French) advantageous.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance business development with day-to-day relationship management.Experience working in Africa and/or the Middle East markets is essential.Compensation & IncentivesBase salary £90,000 – £110,000 (depending on experience).Annual cash bonus linked to performance and AUM growth.Participation in the firm’s equity/share scheme.Access to a corporate performance bond with long-term upside potential.
