An integral part of a highly successful UK listed Group of Companies, our Client is a leading designer & manufacturer of electromechanical & electro-optical materials testing products and accessories supplied to a global customer base (OEMs, Industrial End Users, Research Institutions, Academia etc.). Highly profitable with an excellent growth record, the Company has invested heavily in R&D and is now about to enter its next exciting phase of growth, including an imminent move into new, purpose-built. facilities.


It is in this thriving context that the Company is seeking to further strengthen its Senior Leadership Team through the appointment of a high calibre R&D Manager. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will assume full responsibility for delivering the current R&D/NPD strategy and establishing and implementing a new Technology & NPD roadmap. With responsibility for the successful development and project management of new products, you will lead, manage and develop the R&D team, personally demonstrating to them what exceptional project management looks like. In addition, as part of the Senior Leadership team, you will share responsibility for the development and achievement of the Company’s overall business strategy.


Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline (preferably Electronic, Mechanical or similar), you will be able to demonstrate a proven & commercially successful R&D/NPD project management track record gained in a fast-paced technical/engineered product environment. Currently operating at R&D/NPD Manager/Project Manager level, your team leadership & development skills will be coupled with a strong understanding of NPD/market dynamics. You will be creative, highly motivated, energetic and decisive, and will possess the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate/collaborate effectively both within the Organisation and externally with customers & suppliers.
