Job title: Senior Associate / Director / PartnerPQE: 8+PQELocation: Edinburgh or Glasgow - This is a client-facing role and is likely to involve some supervision of other conveyancers, so is predominantly office-based.Working hours: While this role is ideally 9am-5pm Monday-Friday (35 hours per week), we are open to considering flexible or part-time working to suit the requirements of the business.Reporting to: Residential Conveyancing Partners/Head of Residential ConveyancingJob Type: PermanentClosing date: Applications will be reviewed upon receipt and interviews held on a rolling basis.The roleWe have a great opportunity for an experienced conveyancer, with relevant experience, to join our forward-thinking and dynamic Residential Conveyancing team. This role will involve regular client contact, and the successful candidate should be committed to providing an excellent level of client care. In addition to technical competencies, the candidate should also be able to communicate in a confident, clear, and accessible way and enjoy working as part of a close and well-integrated team.Key responsibilities include:Provision of a quality service to clients in dealing principally with Sales, Purchases, and Remortgages.An ability to take on complex work and/or deal with high net worth clients.Generate a satisfactory level of fee income in accordance with set fee income targets, record all time accurately, and fee promptly during and/or on completion of transactions.Adhere to the monthly fee earner certificate process.Keep up to date with developments in the law and regulatory requirements.Key experience and skills required:Sound legal knowledge with in-depth experience in that area of law and a high level of technical competence.Ability to develop positive working relationships across the firm and with clients; gain the respect of colleagues.Ability to assess clients’ needs and offer practical guidance.Acts as a positive ambassador for the Firm both internally and externally.Ability to work largely unsupervised.Ability to meet fee targets and achieve strong realisation rates.Works effectively with other team members and is able to supervise the work of those less qualified.Actively supports department partners and management.Takes a proactive approach to matter administration and completes the monthly file review process for all matters where marked as fee earner on file.Has or is developing a network of contacts with the possibility of client base referrals.Building a reputation in the market; has an active involvement in firm activities both business and social.Ability to plan and develop practice area in a structured way.If you are interested in applying for the above role and possess the relevant experience, please send your CV, including a note of your current salary, to Pearl Steeples, HR Business Partner, Caledonian Exchange, 19a Canning Street, Edinburgh, EH3 8HE or email: recruitment@lindsays.co.uk.Benefits include:25 days holiday;9 fixed days;Long service holidays which start to accrue after 5 years of service;Death in Service Benefit (for those in the pension scheme);Enhanced family policies after a period of continuous service;Discounted legal fees;Travel Loan scheme after qualifying period;Diversity & InclusionDiversity and inclusion play an integral part in the people strategy at Lindsays.
