Based in Henley-on-Thames, DB Charles Recruitment are working with a top business aiding them in finding a candidate for a senior appointment in the business as a Sales & Operations Director.

The business are predominantly established as IT solutions providers however the group portfolio involves work in other interesting areas. The business has been established for over 10+ years and in this time has seen great growth in turnover.

The main focus of the role will be someone to lead, deliver, amend and evolve the business\'s day to day operations as well as providing strategy & delivery for revenue growth via new clients and revenue streams. The successful candidate will need to be a strong people leader and be adaptable in style & communication, as they will have exposure to a variety of teams including sales, technical support and field engineers. This is a vital role for the business and the day to day duties will be broad & varied but some key ones to note will be:

Responsibilities

  • Manage and take charge of the business\'s operational front
  • Manage the operating teams via the team managers as well as be directly involved in individual people management
  • Reporting
  • Create, amend & improve operational processes
  • Project planning, implementation & resource planning
  • Act as an escalation point of contact for urgent issues and for clients to contact
  • Aid in managing & recruiting new staff members into the technical support team

Experience & Qualifications

  • Holds an extensive background within Sales & Operations
  • Previous experience operating in a senior position within a business
  • Ideally comes from an industry background such as IT, IT Transformation, Software, Transport etc.
  • Strong operational management background
  • Experience from a fast moving / growing SME
  • Strong sales background with an ability to grow revenue / client base individually and via team leadership
  • Fantastic communication skills
  • People leader
  • Strategic & adaptable
  • Able to communicate effectively with technical & non-technical personnel
  • Ability to commit to permanent role office based in Henley-on-Thames

The role is a Monday to Friday position with hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm and the business are ideally seeking to pay a salary of between £60,000 to £80,000 per annum, experience dependent. Worth noting, the role will also come with a very motivating additional bonus incentive. Other aspects to note:
