Sales Director: Ireland

New Today

Overview

Pulse Renewables is at the forefront of Ireland's renewable energy revolution, delivering innovative, scalable solutions that accelerate the transition to net-zero. This role is for a Sales Director: Ireland who will drive aggressive revenue growth, build high-value partnerships, and lead the Irish sales strategy.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will join the Leadership Team to shape strategy, own the full sales lifecycle, and empower a high-performance culture aligned with our values of innovation, integrity, and impact.

We are seeking a hungry, results-obsessed leader with a proven track record in renewables or high-stakes B2B sales in C&I, possessing a network of decision-makers and the ability to close multimillion-pound deals.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your ideas influence strategy and add value to our clients and the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and drive the end-to-end sales strategy for Ireland, targeting utilities, developers, commercial clients, and public sector opportunities in solar, wind, and energy storage projects.
  • Generate and qualify outbound leads through networking, industry events, and targeted outreach; nurture inbound inquiries to build a robust target pipeline within the first year.
  • Build and multi-thread relationships with C-suite stakeholders, run workshops to uncover needs, validate solutions, and craft tailored proposals with financial modelling (ROI, LCOE, project viability).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and product teams to de-risk deals and accelerate closes; own post-sale account management for upsell and retention.
  • Drive process optimisation—implement CRM best practices, sales enablement tools, and data-driven forecasting to hit aggressive quarterly targets.
  • Act as brand ambassador at key Irish energy forums, influencing policy discussions and positioning Pulse as the go-to partner for decarbonisation.
  • Report directly to the CEO, providing strategic insights on market trends, competitive intel, and growth levers to shape our Irish expansion.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years in B2B sales leadership, ideally in renewables, energy services, or infrastructure, with a track record of closing deals and building teams from scratch.
  • Expertise in financial modelling for energy projects (e.g., cash flow projections, subsidy optimization under CRU frameworks); proficiency in Excel, HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive.
  • Relentless hunter mentality with a proven outbound track record and a personal network of Irish energy influencers.
  • Exceptional communicator—confident in presentations, negotiations, and stakeholder workshops; fluent in English.
  • Bias for action with a structured approach to pipeline management and rapid learning in ambiguous environments.

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience in Irish renewables (e.g., RESS auctions, onshore/offshore wind, hydrogen).
  • Prior leadership in PE-backed or high-growth startups; familiarity with hybrid working across Dublin and regional sites.
  • SONI network membership or advisory experience: connections to the System Operator for Northern Ireland and grid integration forums.
  • Renewable NI or Renewable UK affiliation: active involvement for policy updates, events, and stakeholder introductions.

What We Offer

  • Excellent base salary + uncapped commission.
  • Opportunity to work with leaders in Renewable Energy and Tier 1 partners.
  • Equity stake for long-term alignment.
  • Hybrid working with flexibility.
  • Comprehensive benefits: private medical cover, pension matching, tech allowance and provision.
  • Chance to help transform Ireland's energy future as part of a top-growth company.
