Job Title: Sales Director EMEA - Capital Markets

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 basic + commission (OTE £130,000 – £140,000)

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams of 5 or more.
  • Strong and comprehensive understanding of financial markets.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and, most importantly, driving significant growth across product portfolio revenues.
  • Scaling events to over 1000 attendees


A market-leading events brand is looking for an ambitious Head of EMEA Sales to drive commercial success across its flagship conferences and awards portfolio in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Key responsibilities


Sales strategy and leadership

  • Own and implement the commercial strategy across the EMEA region
  • Set and manage revenue targets and KPIs to support business growth
  • Provide strategic input on market positioning and competitive advantage
  • Monitor and mitigate commercial risks while identifying long-term growth opportunities


Team and sales management

  • Lead sales efforts across sponsorship, delegate passes, and bespoke partnerships
  • Manage and develop a high-performing sales team, offering coaching and leadership
  • Drive pipeline growth and close high-value deals with key decision-makers
  • Manage and grow key accounts, ensuring strong client retention and upsell opportunities


Revenue generation

  • Take ownership of annual revenue targets across the full EMEA portfolio
  • Identify and launch new commercial products, packages, or revenue channels
  • Ensure consistent year-on-year growth across sponsorship and delegate income
  • Analyse sales performance data to inform pricing and sales strategy decisions


Stakeholder engagement

  • Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders in financial institutions, corporates, governments, and policy bodies
  • Stay ahead of market trends and regulatory developments affecting EMEA markets
  • Represent the business at external meetings, forums, and industry events


Market expansion and product development

  • Identify new market opportunities and develop tailored go-to-market plans
  • Work with content and production teams to shape agendas that reflect regional priorities
  • Secure top-tier speakers and partners to enhance event value and commercial outcomes


Ideal candidate profile

  • Proven track record of high-level B2B sales in large scale conferences
  • Deep understanding of the financial sector and institutional relationships
  • Experience in selling complex sponsorship packages and managing strategic accounts
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Results-focused, self-motivated, and comfortable operating at a senior level
