Our client is a leading provider of security solutions and is looking to strengthen their sales team with an experienced Sales Director that has worked within large infrastructure projects, highways, civils and utilities, either selling products or services.

The Sales Director (Infrastructure) will be responsible for increasing revenue through the selling of solutions around the UK to infrastructure and utilities clients on large scale projects. The successful candidate will hold a strategic role focused on driving high value solution sales, managing key relationships and leading a growing sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully selling into large scale infrastructure projects, through knowledge of procurement processes and frameworks, leveraging off existing external client relationships.

You will be in a national role, a sector specialist who will lead a team of Sales Managers (4 direct reports) setting the strategy to grow revenue within your specialist sector of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national sales strategy targeting Tier 1 and major infrastructure construction firms.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team (initially up to 4), fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across target accounts, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Lead the preparation and submission of bids and tenders, ensuring alignment with procurement frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Drive revenue growth through solution-based selling, identifying new opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform strategy and positioning.
• Work closely with key internal stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure customer needs are met and solutions are effectively positioned.
