Sales Director - High-End Jewellery & Collectible Design London, UK £60k-£90k base + commission + perks About the Role We're helping a niche, design-led jewellery house grow their private client presence in London. Known for its sculptural pieces made from rare materials (think meteorite, forged carbon, mammoth ivory, titanium), this brand doesn't do mass retail. Instead, they work closely with collectors who value design, craftsmanship, and discretion. They've recently set up a quiet but impactful presence in London - a high-end hotel showcase, private home appointments, and small, invite-only gatherings. Now they're looking for someone who can lead that growth. What You'll Be Doing This is all about building real relationships with clients - not hard selling. You'll be the face of the brand in London, creating one-to-one experiences and guiding bespoke orders from first chat to final handover. Here's how that breaks down: Private Appointments
- in a hotel suite, client homes, or via video. Turning great conversations into deposits and custom orders. Hosting Small Events
- invite-only micro-salons (6-12 people) that lead to meaningful follow-ups, not just Instagram photos. Building a Network
- work with concierges, private banks, family offices, art advisors, and similar circles to grow your referral pipeline. Managing Commissions
- work closely on bespoke pieces, keeping an eye on materials, proportions, and brand style. You don't need to be a designer, but you should be confident talking about aesthetics and detail. Staying Organised
- keep the CRM clean, handle compliance (AML/KYC), and make sure shipping, VAT and insurance are all sorted properly. Who This Is For You've got
at least 3 years of experience
in luxury - ideally jewellery, watches, art, or high-end design. You've
closed sales in the £50k-£500k+ range
recently (last 1-2 years), and have some repeat or referral clients in your orbit. You're
comfortable working solo , not relying on store footfall - you know how to sell over tea, WhatsApp, or video call. You've got an eye for design and can talk confidently about materials, form, and craftsmanship. You're detail-oriented when it matters - you know your way around compliance and high-value transactions in the UK. Bonus Points If You Have Connections in concierge services, private wealth, contemporary art, or independent watchmaking Fluency in Italian, Arabic, or Russian A tasteful, personal approach to content or 1:1 digital selling An existing little black book of clients who love design, not logos What Success Looks Like in 90 Days 12-18 quality intros from your network One micro-salon hosted with strong follow-up 30-40 opportunities logged with proper notes A few deposits in the bank, and your first referral loop starting to build Compensation Base salary:
£60,000 - £90,000 depending on experience Commission:
5-8% on collected revenue, with up to 10-12% over target Trailing commission
on repeat clients you've brought in (for 12-24 months) Event budget & travel
- if it helps you bring in results, it's supported Client data managed
under proper governance How to Know if This is For You If you can host a calm, considered appointment with a collector who avoids flashy logos if you can guide a bespoke jewellery journey with patience and precision and if you love operating in that quiet luxury space - you'll feel right at home here.
