Senior Design Engineer

Our client, a locally owned leading engineering company who specialise in bespoke products, are in search of an experienced SeniorDesign Engineer to join their well-established team in the Omagh area. This is a brand new position created due to company growth; you will be working alongside senior management in the development of a new product range.

The job role:

• Take ownership of mechanical design projects, from concept to completion.
• Produce detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
• Apply industry best practices to improve machinery performance, durability, and safety.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and integrate innovative solutions into designs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new products.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

Relevant Degree or equivalent 3rd level qualification in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years within a design engineer role. You will be competent on SolidWorks and 3D CAD modelling capabilities.
