Senior Director, Global Initiatives

New Today

Overview

In the Social Responsibility team (SR), we’re focused on creating meaningful impact for children in our communities – online and offline – and creating value for the LEGO Group. We’re joining forces with children, parents, caregivers and educators, our employees, partners, experts, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to unleash the power of play so children can thrive and build a better world.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of content, e.g., playbooks, guidelines, and concept material, for initiative implementation in regions, global functions, and the wider LEGO ecosystem, taking a co-creative and inclusive approach to ensure fit and relevance in local and functional contexts.
  • Ensure our initiatives are impactful by design, in line with the existing SR MEL framework, and that they create shared value and deliver on critical metrics.
  • Work closely with the Strategic Portfolio & Operations team and contribute to annual planning, including delivery of annual plan, forecasting and target setting, budget and headcounts, with reporting on critical metrics and budget per LEGO Group processes.
  • Ensure smooth grant processes with the LEGO Foundation from concept to reporting.
  • Supervise partnerships with key external partners and internal teams (e.g., LEGO Education and the Brand team) for global programmatic initiative delivery.
  • Through exemplary partner engagement and management, ensure initiatives deliver impact for both communities and the business, and collaborate across SR with regional teams on innovation and implementation fit for local contexts, with the Child Rights & Safety team on children’s rights and safety (digital and non-digital), digital parenting and wellbeing, and children’s agency initiative pilot (co-ownership).
  • Manage, develop, and build the Global Initiatives team to enable SR to deliver on OSIS and the SR Aspiration.
  • As part of the SR Leadership Team, contribute to setting direction for SR as one team and help deliver on OSIS and the SR Aspiration.
