The Global & EMEA HSSE Director will directly lead a team of 7 HSSE professionals in EMEA, along with regional leads in the Americas and Asia-Pacific (APAC). The role holder will be responsible for managing HSSE for one of JLL's largest Life Sciences accounts. The focus of the role will be in EMEA, but the role holder will also build and maintain close alignment with AMER and APAC teams. The most important objective of this role will be ensuring that our employees and sub-contractors return home safe and healthy at the end of their working day, and we minimize our Environmental impact. Delivery of this will require a focus on incident reduction, consistent and proactive client engagement and close alignment between regions. This role will be highly visible, and the work is fast paced. The successful candidate must ensure that critical stakeholders, including employees and client teams, receive timely, relevant information and appropriate advice on HSSE matters. The role holder must have an acute eye for HSSE risks and be able to foster a strong culture of health, safety & environmental management, delivering world class results, improved productivity and flawless execution. This role is remote based, in the EMEA region and will report directly to the Global HSSE Centre of Excellence Lead. Day-to-day accountability is to the JLL Global Account Director and EMEA Account Director, with regular reporting on HSSE performance across the account to Global and regional Account Leadership teams. Other key stakeholders include Regional Workplace Management leads, Engineering, Quality & Compliance, Finance & HR team leads, along with regional HSSE leads for the Life Sciences Vertical. - Implement strategic objectives, aligned to JLL Global HSSE objectives and to client expectations, bringing these objectives to life for the account.
- Manage and reduce HSSE risks across the account by providing guidance and advice on risk management at all levels.
- Provide technical advice on relevant HSSE issues and communicate notifications of changes in legislation that will impact service delivery and/or client operations.
- Identify innovations and improvement opportunities, supporting the account team to identify practical cost-effective risk control measures.
- Ensure risk assessments and operating procedures are in place, in line with legal requirements and client standards.
- Manage accident and incident investigations, in co-ordination with the account HSSE teams.
- Organize, implement, and maintain an effective account HSSE communications plan. Leadership

- Lead, manage and develop the account HSSE team in EMEA.
- Align teams Globally, maintaining an appropriate structure to ensure operational HSSE management.
- Proactively develop and manage client relationships, ensuring expected service levels are achieved.
- Support HSSE leads in AMER and APAC to develop relationships with key stakeholders.
- Deliver an exceptional quality of service across the account, as reflected by client feedback.
- Embed JLL Workplace Management HSSE requirements and ensure client requirements and standards are met.
- Establish effective relationships and work co-operatively with the Account Teams, client organization, and 3rd party vendors.

- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of JLL Global and EMEA HSSE operational controls, (i.e. standards, procedures, and guidelines) ensuring compliance with HSSE obligations.
- Drive the development of best practice HSSE learning & development.
- Implement operating protocols for the safety performance of JLL's contractors and supply chain vendors.
- Oversee the successful delivery of HSSE regulatory responsibilities and best practices globally to secure regulatory compliance, including management of change related to new and revised legislation.
- Oversee successful HSSE assurance programs, while supporting growth strategies related to Client, JLL and/or national and industry standards.
A minimum 10 years HSSE management experience, including experience working in the Life Sciences sector (Pharmaceuticals or Medical Devices preferred). - Appropriate recognized professional HSSE qualifications and memberships.
- Experience of management system development, implementation and auditing.
- Excellent understanding of the HSSE regulatory environment in major markets.
- Experience of implementing HSSE technology and data management tools across multiple countries & regions.
- Experience of managing a multi-cultural team and working across geographies.
- Practical working knowledge of industry tools and techniques to manage across a complex multi-site property portfolio, including offices, manufacturing sites, research & development facilities and distribution centers. Other Personal Characteristics:
