We are committed to providing excellent client service, supported by leading technology and talent.Aberdeen comprises three businesses, interactive investor (ii), Investments, and Adviser, each of which focuses on meeting and adapting to our clients’ evolving needs:* interactive investor, the UK’s second largest direct-to-consumer investment platform, enables individuals in the UK to plan, save, and invest in the way that works for them.* Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their customers.* Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.**About the Department**The Private Market Solutions team designs, implements, and manages globally diversified solutions across private markets, including equity, credit, and real assets. Solutions take the form of semi-liquid funds (QIAIF, LTAF) and outsourced CIO mandates.**About the Role**The Investment Director will report to the Head of Private Market Solutions and work closely with the immediate Private Market Solutions team, other private market teams within Aberdeen, and the broader Multi Asset desk.**Key Responsibilities:*** Manage private market portfolios, including asset allocation, risk monitoring, and cash flow modelling.* Source, research, and execute investment ideas for the portfolios.* Develop investment processes, portfolio management, and risk management techniques for private market investments.* Provide quantitative skills and conduct research into new areas of private markets portfolio management.* Develop innovative products that meet future client needs, working closely with global product, sales, client teams and clients directly.* Represent the team and its processes with clients, other Aberdeen stakeholders and to the industry.**About the Candidate:*** Strong academic background in a quantitative and financial discipline.* Professional qualification such as CFA, ACA, or equivalent is desirable.* Cross border or international experience is desirable* Significant professional experience in private markets investment, asset management, investment banking, consulting, or similar.* Private Markets direct/co-investment, transaction management and underwriting skills are desirable* Understanding and experience with portfolio construction, management, and risk principles.* Hands-on experience with large-scale project implementation.* Strong analytical and numerical skills.* Excellent communication and presentation skills.* Attention to detail and thoroughness.* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.We are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
