VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading accountancy practice to recruit a Senior Manager / Director for their Accounts Department in the Derry office. This firm, part of a highly regarded global network, has a strong reputation for providing trusted advisory services and developing long-term relationships with clients. The Role This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving client service excellence and leading a high-performing accounts team. The successful candidate will work closely with a portfolio of long-standing, loyal clients - predominantly owner-managed businesses - while also contributing to the growth and strategic direction of the practice. What You Will Do Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing tailored support and proactive guidance across accounting and business matters. Lead, mentor and develop the accounts team to ensure delivery of high-quality client service. Build and strengthen strong relationships with clients, ensuring loyalty and long-term partnerships. Oversee a diverse portfolio of assignments, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and value-added advice. Drive business development opportunities, contributing to the continued growth of the practice. Work closely with senior leadership and partners to shape the future direction of the firm locally. Requirements Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent). Extensive post-qualification experience in practice, with a proven track record in client relationship management. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams. Commercial acumen and ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities.
