- Demonstrable expertise in defence and security strategy, including open-source intelligence, cognitive resilience, supply chain resiliency, cyber defence, and disruptive/emerging technologies.
- Proven experience working with or for a National Ministry of Defence, NATO, and/or the private defence industry.
- Familiarity with NATO’s strategic priorities: deterrence and defence, industrial and technological resilience, total defence adaptation, and new domains (space and cyberspace).
- Deep understanding of defence and intelligence community workflows, stakeholder engagement, technology and data needs, and regulatory/security frameworks.
- Ability to interact with senior-level stakeholders, with a strong, established network in defence, NATO, and the private defence industry.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Experience leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance defence and security workflows, including risk assessment, threat detection, and operational efficiency; ability to advise on the adoption and integration of AI-driven solutions in government and defence environments
- This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring up to 50% travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced qualifications in defence/security studies, international relations, or related fields beneficial.
Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader for government and defence clients, driving engagement and shaping Moody’s solutions.
- Advise government and defence customers, including Ministries of Defence, NATO entities, and private defence industry organisations.
- Proactively engage with prospective clients, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the sales process.
- Leverage best practices in deterrence, defence, cyber resilience, and supply chain resiliency to support RFPs and Proof of Concept processes.
- Design outreach strategies and conduct training sessions on defence/government/industry use cases, Moody’s solution set, and emerging trends.
- Coach and support product consultants, sales professionals, and customer success teams.
- Develop and maintain relationships with NATO stakeholders, Ministries of Defence, private defence sector, and multilateral organisations.
- Represent Moody’s at defence and security conferences; publish thought leadership on industrial and technological resilience, space and cyber defence, and total defence adaptation.
- Translate emerging defence priorities into product requirements; identify opportunities in defence intelligence and resilience.Build business cases for product development and strategic improvements.

We bring together practitioners, former regulators, and subject matter experts specialising in defence, intelligence, law enforcement, financial crime compliance, supply chain resiliency, disruptive technologies, climate security, and cyber resilience.
