Solution Director: Fabric and Databricks

AND Digital is a tech company dedicated to accelerating digital delivery and closing the digital skills gap. Since 2014, we have supported organisations in building better digital products and stronger digital teams. We operate through regional offices known as Clubs, building strong client relationships and prioritising clients with local delivery teams. This role is part of AND's central Practice Area team and focuses on growing our Data business aligned with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Lead our propositions and Practice Area IP
• Own, manage and evolve our proposition in the areas of Fabric and Databricks solutions
• Maintain technical alliance relationships with Microsoft and Databricks, positioning AND as a key consulting and delivery partner
• Be a leader within the Data Practice Area, driving quality and consistency in delivery, growing talent and capability
• Develop and promote thought leadership to raise brand prominence in the data community
• Develop training pathways and collateral to grow internal capability; mentor and coach ANDis
• Engage with client problems, act as high‑level trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders (C-suite), providing expert guidance
• Build and nurture client relationships, understand business needs and challenges
• Show the art of the possible with Fabric and Databricks, linking development to outcomes
• Solution Design: elicit business requirements and shape robust, purchasable solutions; develop business cases
• Guide AND teams to ensure delivery aligns with the original vision and delivers expected client value
• Identify opportunities and lead deal development; prioritize efforts for optimal commercial outcomes
• Collaborate with Client Partnership teams and clubs in deal development and upskilling
• Achieve a sales target contributing to opportunity conversions (target around £2m+; revenue attribution is leveraged across AND)
• Provide senior escalation support and leadership for delivery quality
• Inspire and motivate the Data practice area and model proactive behaviours

Skills & Experience

• Deep & Broad Technical Expertise: hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks; knowledge across the data spectrum from warehousing to AI tooling
• Strategic Thinking & Vision: ability to align data/tech capabilities with business strategy and develop long-term roadmaps
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: ability to dissect problems, evaluate options, and design innovative solutions
• Communication & Presentation: ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
• Leadership & Influence: influence technical teams and stakeholders to drive change
• Commercial Acumen: understanding of how to identify opportunities delivering client and value to AND
• Adaptability & Learning: commitment to continuous learning and comfortable operating in ambiguity
