Overview

Tax Directors – Corporate Tax Director role based in Bristol, Exeter, Southampton or Poole. PKF Francis Clark is the largest firm of independent chartered accountants and business advisers in South West England, with nine offices across the region. The firm has annual revenue of over £65 million and a 900-strong team. Our dedicated specialist tax department comprises nearly 150 individuals, from trainees to partners.

As part of the next stage of the expansion of our tax practice, we seek a Corporate Tax Director who will help manage and develop our corporate tax team and a well-established portfolio of OMB/SME and large corporate clients, delivering a mix of compliance and advisory services. You will play a leading role in developing and maintaining relationships with corporate clients and will build strong links with the accounts and audit teams to ensure a comprehensive tax service. You will provide technical and mentoring support to team members and be a key point of contact for HMRC. There is the opportunity to develop tax technical material and to prepare and present at internal and external meetings and seminars.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the corporate tax team.
• Support a portfolio of OMB/SME and large corporate clients with compliance and advisory services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients; collaborate with accounts and audit teams to deliver integrated tax service.
• Provide technical and mentoring support to team members.
• Act as a key point of contact for HMRC.
• Involvement in developing tax technical material and presenting at internal and external meetings and seminars.

Qualifications and Requirements

• UK-based corporate tax experience.
• CTA qualified or equivalent preferred.
• Flexible, hybrid working; willingness to relocate to the South West is welcomed.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a focus on client service.
