The Private Capital Transactions tax team works with the world\'s largest private equity clients and focusing on the fastest-developing areas of the deals market. The opportunity

In this team you will gain wide-ranging experience in core areas of transactional work, including private equity, infrastructure and clean-tech, distressed debt and turnaround transactions and restructuring. As deal advisers, Private Capital Transactions team members gain strong UK tax technical experience along with a commercial understanding of what matters to clients in a deal context. Given that much of transactions work is cross-border, you will also be introduced early to international structuring techniques and overseas tax regimes.

We are expanding our Private Capital Transactions Tax team and are keen to speak with experienced Tax Advisors.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of tax services to clients, building and maintaining client relationships to provide high levels of service.
• Help win new work by proactively managing existing clients and ensuring technical excellence with a practical, business-focused approach.
• Support the delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
• Manage the overall quality of client service and collaborate with other areas of the practice as needed.
• Build networks and relationships internally and externally to leverage opportunities for the team.
• Develop junior staff through effective supervision, coaching and mentoring.
• Contribute to team strategy and operations, including staff development and assignments.
• Client focus and commercial awareness, strong international and UK tax technical skills, and the ability to develop quality outputs for clients.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to handle challenges, with business development capability to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to manage engagement financials; effective time management and composure under deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communicator; enthusiastic team player capable of creating and sustaining effective teams.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality work and day-to-day delivery; be flexible and innovative in adopting new technologies and ways of working.

Qualifications

• Experienced tax practitioner with deep experience of tax transactions.
• Preferably ATT / ACA / CA / CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA, e.g. law qualification).
• Graduate or equivalent work experience.
• Experience of managing a team and/or coaching and developing team members.
• Project management skills: plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor budget.
