OverviewMott MacDonald is a global engineering, management, and development consultancy. Location/s: UK wide. Closing date: 27/10/2025.ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic direction and quality assurance within the Water Resources Planning team.Lead on innovation and build and strengthen client relationships.Grow the business, lead the delivery of a diverse range of advisory projects and strategic/feasibility studies.Mentor the next generation of water resources planners.Deliver water resources planning outputs in alignment with client needs and regulatory context.Work within the existing team of climate scientists, data scientists, engineers, environmentalists, hydrogeologists, hydrologists, managers, and planners.Candidate specificationEssentialRelevant water resources, engineering or other related degreeExperience in leading the delivery of regional plans, Water Resource Management Plans and/or Drought PlansStrong communication skills with experience in effective collaboration across internal multi-disciplinary teamsExcellent knowledge of UK water regulatory frameworkGood understanding of the components that make up a water supply-demand balance and how these are estimated and forecastSignificant expertise in undertaking options appraisalExperience in preparing successfully bids and in undertaking client engagementDesirableChartered Status with a recognised Professional InstitutionExperience of best value planningProject management skillsTrack record in building teams and capability of junior staffExperience of auditing and assuranceExperience of using asset informationUK ImmigrationMott MacDonald Ltd. are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK.
