Our client a major player in affordable housing, mixed-tenure and regeneration projects is on the hunt for a Head of Technical / Technical Director to take the reins of their technical and design function.
This is a senior, permanent leadership role where youll shape strategy, inspire teams, and help deliver communities that genuinely make a difference.
What youll be doing: Driving technical strategy from early design and estimating through to site delivery

Leading, mentoring and motivating a high-performing technical team

Overseeing the full technical lifecycle of complex housing projects

Ensuring smart, compliant and cost-effective design solutions

What were looking for: Strong background in multi-tenure housing or contracting environments

Deep knowledge of design management, construction methods, planning and procurement

A natural leader who enjoys both strategy and hands-on problem solving

Someone ready to operate at senior regional level

You will bring experience in multi-tenure or contracting environments along with a strong command of design, construction methods, planning processes, proc urement and relevant legislation. A detailed understanding of health and safety responsibilities is essential, as is a commitment to upholding equality and diversity within the workplace. You should be confident working with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Proj ect and Outlook. Abov e all, you wil l have the leadership presence needed to inspire your team and the technical expe rtise req u ired to deliver high-quality, cost-effective design solutions.
